Air & Acoustic Consultants (AAC) provided multi-disciplinary assistance to Engie for the successful Environmental Impact Assessment and planning application regarding the mixed-use redevelopment of Rugeley Power Station in Staffordshire.

The application included up to 2,300 residential dwellings, a range of employment uses, a new school, local centres, and public open space. AAC supported the project with a range of environmental assessment services including:

  • Air Quality Impact Assessment
  • Air Quality Monitoring
  • Air Quality Damage Calculation
  • Input into Shadow Habitat Regulations Assessment
  • Noise & Vibration Impact Assessment
  • Electromagnetic Radiation

The  site was initially consented in December 2019, at two separate planning committee meetings held by Lichfield District Council and Cannock Chase District Council. The application was resubmitted with minor amendments at the beginning of 2020 and again both committees unanimously approved the application on 27th July 2020.

AAC also worked in conjunction with two of their partner companies on this project mode transport and Link Engineering.
