Air & Acoustic Consultants (AAC) were commissioned to produce noise and air quality assessment(s) to support a planning application for a new apartment block for more than 400 student and a sky lounge dining area and roof terrace.

The scheme represented a car free development , with a key focus on the use of sustainable methods of travel.

Birmingham-based G3S Living is behind the proposals for the 19-storey scheme earmarked for land adjacent to the Ramada Hotel at the corner of Butts, Queens Road and York Street.

AAC supported the project with a range of environmental assessment services including:

  • Pre-application discussions with Coventry City Council to agree the subsequent assessments
  • Air Quality Impact Assessment
  • Dust Impact Assessment
  • Dust Mitigation Strategy
  • Noise Impact Assessment
  • Noise Monitoring Programme
